State-of-the-art midrange driver for sound quality music enthusiasts – 80 mm (3") hand-coated HEXACONE sandwich cone technology, extremely rigid and lightweight at the same time. This ensures ultimate dynamics and fine detail. Voices are reproduced with incredible richness and detail, while the ribbed aluminum phase plug in the center of the speaker ensures maximum stage depth and separation. The high-end voice coil assembly is housed in a torsion-resistant and well-ventilated die-cast aluminum basket and can move centrally and linearly thanks to the symmetrical stranded wire and high-quality suspension. The resilient 4-ohms voice coil is powerfully driven by a strong neodymium magnet and, thanks to the additional ventilation in the pole and base plates, it is very well cooled, even at high levels! CNC-machined pole and base plates round off the look of the new HEX 80 midrange system. They are the logical extension for all HEX 165 and HEX 28 systems, taking the HEX series to a whole new acoustic level! The HEX 80 series is also ideal for other systems, delivering a natural, dynamic, and full-sounding sound character with details that are only found in the premier class!
